Norma Jeane (aka Marilyn Monroe) in 1938 at age 12
“I’d say that outdoorsy blondes like myself should forget eye makeup. If I go out in the daytime with eye makeup on I feel like I’m in some kind of carnival. And at night I feel like I’m pretending to be somebody else. All I do for my eyes is to curl my eyelashes and use a soft-brown mascara to darken the tips, because the tips are very blond. Once in a while I’ll put on a faint touch of gray eye shadow. Most people think my eyes are blue (they do photograph quite blue) but I think they are more gray than blue, so I add that slight touch of gray shadow.
If any one of us out there looks this good at 67, someone needs to pat us on our backs.
